Hand-crafted original
Guild shields served a civic rather than martial function — displayed over the premises of trade organisations to signify membership and standing. This Apothecary Guild shield carries the mortar-and-pestle device on a field of deep green, as depicted in the KCD source material.
Plywood body, linen-faced, with a ground colour in verdigris-based mineral green. The device is in white lead over a gesso relief, giving it a sculpted quality. The rim is bound in undyed leather. The reverse carries the guildsman's thumbhole grip — a broad vertical bar — reflecting the civil, non-combat use of the original.
