Hand-crafted original
Produced for the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, the Skalitz Shield reconstructs the personal livery device of the Skalitz garrison as documented in the game's historically researched visual canon, itself drawn from Bohemian armorial sources of the early 15th century.
The body is plywood, faced with linen and painted in a two-colour quartered scheme consistent with Bohemian municipal heraldry of the period. Internal fittings follow the Bohemian fashion — a padded linen cup grip attached with brass rivets, and a braided leather guige. All pigments are linseed-oil bound and applied over a chalk-and-hide-glue gesso. A period-correct beeswax polish seals the surface.
