Hand-crafted original
The millers' guilds of Bohemia were among the wealthiest trade organisations of the period. This civic shield bears the waterwheel device on a red field, following the KCD source documentation which drew directly on Bohemian guild records held in the Prague municipal archive.
Same structural build as all KCD-series shields: plywood, linen face, three-coat chalk gesso. The waterwheel is executed in natural umber and white lead. Red field in vermilion. Surfaces sealed with aged linseed varnish. This shield has a flat internal panel suitable for mounting as a wall display piece.
